Anti Barack Obama attorney Philip J. Berg faces disciplinary complaint

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

INTERNET POWERHOUSE ANDY MARTIN ASKS PENNSYLVANIA SUPREME COURT DISCIPLINARY BOARD TO EXAMINE ATTORNEY PHILIP BERG’S PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

(NEW YORK)(November 12, 2008) Andy Martin has asked the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board to investigate
the conduct of anti-Obama attorney Philip J. Berg of Lafayette Hill, PA. “There have been a lot of questions, and criticism, swirling around Mr. Berg’s behavior,” Martin stated. “I thought his behavior merited a look by the Disciplinary Board. That way there can be a fair and impartial examination of his claims and actions.”

A copy of Martin’s Statement, which is part of Martin’s form complaint, (faxed to the DB today, November 12th) follows:

November 12, 2008

Philip J. Berg contacted me in mid-August about a complaint he proposed to file in federal court. He sent me the complaint to review, and I advised him the complaint was nonsense. He was suing the wrong parties in the wrong court for the wrong relief. Berg said he wanted to “enjoin the Democratic National Convention,” which caused me to question his sanity. He pleaded that Barack Obama was “born in Kenya” when there is not a shred of credible evidence to support this claim.

He filed his complaint and then began issuing a series of asinine news releases about the progress of his lawsuit.

Berg is playing on the vulnerability of people who intensely dislike President-elect Barack Obama, and using his inflated accusations to solicit money from the public. He constantly exaggerates or misrepresents the facts. In early September persons acting on his behalf claimed there was a “court order” for Obama to produce a birth certificate. No such order existed.

Then he claimed Obama was in “default” and had “admitted” he was born in Kenya. This was compete nonsense. As someone who is a genuine critic of Mr. Obama, I know firsthand what confusion Berg creates with his false and misleading claims. Most recently he or persons acting in concert with him have suggested that the U.S. Supreme Court “ordered” a response to his nonsense. The Court has done nothing of the sort. The court’s rules simply provide a thirty-day period for responses.

I don’t know whether Berg suffers from an emotional disturbance, or is merely a money-grubbing huckster, or what, but Berg’s behavior is undermining public faith in the integrity of the Pennsylvania legal profession.

Berg has been disciplined in the past for misconduct:

Lawyers are entitled to engage in vigorous advocacy. They are encouraged to extend and revise legal precedents. But they are not entitled to file delusional claims without a scintilla of support, particularly when they then use these delusional claims as a basis to solicit money from the public.

Mr. Berg has previously claimed that the U.S. Government blew up the World Trade Center, again without shred of evidence to support his nonsense.

He is a threat to vulnerable citizens who tend to believe his false claims and give him money on the false assumption that Berg is acting in good faith. By stealing small amounts of money from people across the nation he has flown under the radar of professional discipline. No competent attorney could have acted as Berg did during the past three months. His behavior in federal court, all of which is a public record, is outrageous.

Charlotte, NC Voters Bitch Slap Jeff Katz and WBT

slap
It would seem that hate speech, racism and homophobia backfired on the Republican Party this election cycle. Jeff Katz and WBT Hate Radio have spent months in a campaign against Barack Obama. Monday thru Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm there has been a constant stream of hatred and ignorant filth piled upon the airwaves from their 50,000 watt radio station. It would seem that karma has bitten them in the posterior. NONE of the candidates they supported were elected. So who are WBT and Jeff Katz trying to sell their hate to and who are the idiots that are buying advertising from these Nimrods ? Here is how it went down in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County , North Carolina.

President/Vice President
Obama/Biden(D) 61.83% 252,652 votes
Mccain/Palin(R) 37.44% 152,957 votes
Barr/Root(L) 0.46% 1,891 votes
WRITE-IN 0.27% 1,092 votes

US Senate
Kay Hagan(D) 61.59% 248,454 votes
Elizabeth Dole(R) 35.47% 143,059 votes
Christopher Cole(L) 2.89% 11,652 votes
WRITE-IN 0.05% 211 votes

Governor of North Carolina
Bev Perdue(D) 49.04% 198,631 votes
Pat McCrory(R) 48.94% 198,246 votes The 8 time mayor of Charlotte that had a show on WBT
Mike Munger(L) 2.02% 8,184 votes

Clearly WBT does not represent the people of Charlotte as you can see. We deserve better and its an embarrassment to think that when visitors come to the Queen City they might actually hear the filth that Jeff Katz and WBT puts out there and leave thinking that we are some backwater trapped in the 1960’s south. Its a pitiful way for a company to make money and they should be ashamed. Jeff Katz has been fired from other jobs for spreading hate. Why should Charlotte have to suffer his hate ?

PROOF that even John McCain hates President Bush

A librarian shows up at a public John McCain Rally on city property and is promptly issued a citation for trespassing by police and is escorted off the premises for simply carrying a sign that says “McCain = Bush”. Who says John McCain doesn’t support the right to free speech ?

Why The Republican Party Died In 2008

casket1
There are several reasons the Republican Party died in 2008. I’ll explain several I am sure of. If you can add some insight to the reasons, please feel free to add your comments.

One of the groups that took over the Republican Party were anti-abortion religious fanatics that have turned the Republican Party into a religion instead of a conservative movement. When your base is the Christian Taliban your probably not going to get any crossover votes.

We didn’t catch or kill Osama Bin Laden and lost the war against al-Qaeda and got into a unjust war with Iraq that has taken the lives of 4100+ American soldiers and 500,000+ Iraq civilians and 7 years later there is no end in sight.

Secret prisons and POW torture at the behest of the United States Government. People imprisoned for years without being charged with any crime. Violating the Geneva Convention with permission from the Republican President of said United States.

Sending our jobs overseas. Giving tax breaks to corporations that send our jobs overseas. Giving tax breaks to the rich. Seeing the only jobs being created are at Wal-Mart and McDonalds.

Trillion Dollar deficits and the largest expansion of the government since the New Deal.

Right-Wing Nuts spewing hate and lies daily over the airwaves about Democrats that are over 50% of the population. Its pretty tough to tell lies these days when the truth is just a mouse click away.

Allowing government departments to spy on US citizens phones calls and electronic data without a search warrant and call it Homeland Security.

Attacking immigrants, gay people, minorities especially Muslims and pretending that as a group they are not important and don’t count and don’t deserve a place as Americans.

Now the Republican Party is pretty much dead and delegated to south and losing ground there. Young people just don’t join the Republican Party anymore. Hate mongers and war mongers are not cool. Killing innocent civilians and shredding the Constitution isn’t cool either. Now its time for the Republican Party to curl up and die or get rid of the pollution that has poisoned it. I believe its dead and I won’t shed a tear.

Citizen Wells, African Press International API and Philip Berg twisted in a web of hate and lies about Barack Obama

Citizen Wells, whoever that is, has been one of the main forces helping spread the African Press International lies about the alleged phone call between Michele Obama and African Press International. The phone call that has since been proven to be a hoax and hateful lie. Citizen Wells, maybe a citizen of the United States, or maybe a citizen of Syria, or some other country, who knows, has also been spreading the story of the lawsuit brought by a crackpot named Phil Berg Esquire that has no cause and has been hence thrown out of US Court post haste. The first article by Citizen Wells supporting these people on October 15th. Who are these people actually ? Are they connected to any hate or terrorist organizations ? What are their actual motives ?

Alaska’s Largest Newspaper Endorses Obama

By: Stophate

Alaska’s largest and most influential paper the Anchorage Daily News has endorsed Barack Obama. It seems that John McCains credibility fell into question over the way he fell in line with the extreme right on some of his longstanding views so quickly after being at odds with the same people for over 25 years.

“Sen. McCain describes himself as a maverick, by which he seems to mean that he spent 25 years trying unsuccessfully to persuade his own party to follow his bipartisan, centrist lead. Sadly, maverick John McCain didn’t show up for the campaign. Instead we have candidate McCain, who embraces the extreme Republican orthodoxy he once resisted and cynically asks Americans to buy for another four years.”

McCain also fell into question as being unable to solve the financial problems of our country and showed he seemed to shut down when the going got tough, such as when he “closed” his campaign during the financial crisis.

“Sen. McCain has stumbled and fumbled badly in dealing with the accelerating crisis as it emerged. He declared that “the fundamentals of our economy are strong” at 9 a.m. one day and by 11 a.m. was describing an economy in crisis. He is both a longtime advocate of less market regulation and a supporter of the huge taxpayer-funded Wall Street bailout. His behavior in this crisis — erratic is a kind description — shows him to be ill-equipped to lead the essential effort of reining in a runaway financial system”

Senator Obama on the other hand remained cool and during the crisis having warned regulators well in advance of the economic meltdown.

“Sen. Obama warned regulators and the nation 19 months ago that the subprime lending crisis was a disaster in the making. Sen. McCain backed tighter rules for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but didn’t do much to advance that legislation. Of the two candidates, Sen. Obama better understands the mortgage meltdown’s root causes and has the judgment and intelligence to shape a solution”

They look to Obama for economic policies with bipartisan support, although after this election, there may not be enough republicans to matter.

“It is easy to look at Sen. Obama and see a return to the smart, bipartisan economic policies of the last Democratic administration in Washington, which left the country with the momentum of growth and a budget surplus that President George Bush has squandered.”

And as far as Obama leading the Military goes:

“The unqualified endorsement of Sen. Obama by a seasoned, respected soldier and diplomat like Gen. Colin Powell, a Republican icon, should reassure all Americans that the Democratic candidate will pass muster as commander in chief.”
