Republicans Lose ANOTHER House Seat : The Republitards Just Don’t Get It

The Republicans lost another house seat by a narrow margin. New York’s 20th District goes to a Democrat after a special election for a vacated seat. 4 years ago this was a Republican stronghold. This is just another sign that the Republican Party is out of touch with mainstream Americans. While the Democrats have been offering solutions, the Republicans have been offering nothing but divisive and hateful commentary. They’re staunch support of corporations and jobs being sent overseas does not ring well with everyday America. With the gap between rich and poor widening, the Republicans are clearly out of step with the working family. They oppose every plan that might help the downtrodden and support every corporate welfare plan that comes down the pike. When you have leaders like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Rielly you get what you pay for. You make your bed, you sleep in it.

NAACP Condemns New York Post President Obama Chimp Cartoon – Join The Fight Against Racism

chimp-2009-02-18-cartoon1

Here is a copy of the letter sent to the New York Post:

I am writing you today to let you know I will not tolerate racist images and caricatures in your newspaper. I ask you to take immediate action to renounce the racist cartoon published in your paper on Wednesday showing two police officers, one with a smoking gun, standing over the body of a bullet-riddled chimp. This blatant exhibit of racism, comparing our commander in chief (also featured signing the stimulus bill on the issue’s facing page) to a dead chimpanzee is unacceptable, given the historic racist stereotypes of African-Americans as being synonymous with monkeys. I strongly urge the immediate firing of the Editor-in-Chief and all those involved in the decision to print the image. I also demand that the New York Post publish a full, unequivocal apology for the misguided decision to print the cartoon.

Your publication sadly reminded me of the reality that even in 2009, when an African American man holds the highest post in the nation, racism is alive and well in the United States, and that we have a long way to go to ensure civil and human rights of all people. There is no room for this kind of insensitivity and divisiveness – they only distract us from the real work that we need to do to foster an era of change, collaboration, and acceptance of all people.

As a supporter of the NAACP, and as a citizen committed to ending racism and promoting civil rights for all people, I ask you to do better.

Bill O’Reilly and Fox News Terrorist Ties

Here is a story that Bill O’Reilly at Fox News won’t be talking about any time soon.

Rupert Murdoch is the Chairman, CEO and Founder of News Corp. the Company that owns Fox News and pays Bill O’Reilly his bloody paycheck. Mr. Murdoch has teamed up with Chinese Central Television and has been named the Director of NetCom.
According to UN Human Rights Watch Communist China has a horrible human rights record. Many in China want more freedom, as you probably remember the peaceful student protest in Tianamen Square that ended with Chinese Army tanks and troops rolling in and murdering hundreds of young people seeking rights. Millions of Chinese citizens were slaughtered during the Chinese Revolution beginning in 1949. After that the Chinese invaded Tibet and murdered a million Tibetans. Communist China aided North Korea with the invasion of South Korea, later invaded North Korea killing over 2 million and killing thousands of American troops also taking them prisoner and brutally torturing them. About 15 million north Koreans have died of starvation since North Korea has been trying to build nuclear weapons with the help of China. During the Great Leap Forward between 1958 and 1960 between 14 and 43 Chinese citizens died of starvation because of a failed government program to transform mainland China from a primarily agrarian economy dominated by peasant farmers into a modern, industrialized communist society. Between 1966 and 1976 between 2 and 7 million people were killied in the Cultural Revolution. China also waged war against Vietnam and supports a dictatorship in Burma, one of the worst human rights violators in the world. China has no free elections, no free press and live under one of the most oppressive governments in the world.

It seems Bill O’Reilly has been palling around with terrorists. But I’m sure Bill O’Reilly doesn’t want to talk about the company “he” keeps. He sure does seem to want to keep the people in power that almost destroyed our country. I think Bill O’Rielly has proven to be very dangerous for America and our way of life. He continues to support the regime that is destroying our nation.

Freedom all but gone on MYSPACE

This is the image removed from MySpace

This is the image removed from MySpace

I have been using MySpace for a couple of years and was blown away when I received a message from MySpace help telling me they had deleted one of my photos because they said it violated the terms of service and if I continued to violate the terms of service I would lose my account. The image didn’t contain nudity or anything that foul it simply contained a political image of George Bush morphing into Adolph Hitler which I thought was very fitting considering our current lack of privacy, secret CIA prisons in who knows where and people being tortured with the governments consent. So I decided to check and see who owned MySpace and found out that it is now owned by the media giant News Corp. a.k.a. Rupert Murdoch. The same Rupert Murdoch that owns Fox News and has long been in the tank for the Bush administration, the Republicans and the Chinese Communists. Is this where all social networking is heading ?

Below is the email I received from MySpace.
